The WoW kiddy here... I mean OP, doesn't even know how old his precious WoW is. WoW is older than EVE and Blizzard are about to release WoW 2 with all new updated graphics and gameplay, not the same silly 10 year old engine you can run on a GF2 video card. Cute try Mr. WoW, go back to that game.
OP isn't clueless, he just came to advertise his lvl 80 FailElf or Faildead which he has geared after doing the same raid 300 times.

That is what I was trying to say but I'm glad I managed to post what I wrote in the first place. I sat here pressing keys very carefully, making sure I didn't make any mistakes. I was pretty tipsy and someone whining about WoW just set me off. Great way to end the night.

You just don't understand how hardware works. CCP have the most powerful gaming mainframe in the world and they can't prevent the lag. You think MMO's are sharded for the fun of it? Look at WoW, with 5000 people on any given server there're loads of empty spaces that could be filled with more players but the cap has been set at 5000 because the server can't handle it.
While you dream of your super server in 30 years time EVE might not even exist. The way WoW is going it will burn itself out at some point in time and Blizzard are milking it for all it's worth. If EVE does exist in 30 years time CCP might have released EVE 2, who knows but technology will have moved on then too, so while you dream of your lagless single cluster server CCP will also have migrated to such a system.
You should stop being so bitter and look into super computing. It takes several mainframes to calculate the mathematical requirements of a simple car in this day and age and you think that it's all CCP's fault. To be honest I don't know what you were expecting out of this thread, not in the least because you know so little but think so much.
